Neodymium Magnet

Neodymium magnets are actually made from an alloy of neodymium, boron and iron. This allows them to simultaneously store impressive amounts of magnetic energy while being highly resistant to demagnetization. Neodymium ring magnets are functional, high-performance magnets with a wide range of applications. Commonly used in many everyday appliances such as vacuum cleaners plus motors, generators, rotor shafts and more. These magnets are incredibly versatile, making them a popular choice for a range of industries.

All You Need to Know About Neodymium Magnet

● Neodymium magnets are the strongest permanent magnets, commercially available, anywhere in the world. They provide unparalleled levels of magnetism and resistance to demagnetization when compared to ferrite magnet, alnico magne and even samarium-cobalt magnets.

● NdFeB permanent magnets are the strongest in the entire world. In fact, even a thumbnail sized disc magnet cannot be moved from a refrigerator by hand.

● The attraction between two neodymium magnets is so strong that if placed close enough together, they can collide and shatter.

● Neodymium magnets have an unusually high temperature resistance, and they can even withstand heat exceeding 200 degrees Celsius.

● Electronic devices: used in hard disks, headphones, speakers, etc. to help improve sound quality and data storage capacity.

● Motors and generators: used in motors in electric vehicles, electric bicycles, etc. to improve efficiency and output power.

● Medical equipment: used in MRI (nuclear magnetic resonance imaging) equipment to help imaging, and also used in some therapeutic equipment.

● Industrial applications: used for magnetic separation, magnetic adsorption, etc., such as magnetic grippers in automated assembly lines.

● Toys and tools: magnetic building blocks, Rubik's cubes, and household magnetic tool clips, etc.

● Magnetic Grade: Neodymium magnets usually have different grades (such as N35, N52). The higher the number, the stronger the magnetic force.

● Temperature tolerance: Neodymium magnets lose their magnetism at high temperatures. Different models have different tolerances to temperature.

● Size and shape: The size and shape of the magnet (such as ring, block, arc) will affect the distribution of the magnetic field and the application effect.

● Coating: Neodymium magnets are more susceptible to oxidation and corrosion, and usually have a coating (such as plating Zn, Ni, electrophoresis, passivation).

What kind of Magnet Grade do you offer

N52 is our main type of magnetic grade for sintered NdFeB magnets. It refers to the maximum energy product of the magnet material and is expressed in Mega-Gauss-Oersteds (MGOe). The higher the grade, the stronger the magnet. An N52 magnet is considered a high-performance magnet and has a maximum energy product of 52 MGOe, which is higher than other common grades such as N35 and N42. This makes N52 magnets ideal for applications that require high magnetic performance, such as in electric motors, generators, and wind turbines. At Kaiven Magnetic, N52 and other N grade magnets can be strengthened through a process called magnetic orientation, so these Sintered NdFeB Permanent magnet can increase their overall magnetic performance, making them suitable for applications that require even higher magnetic output.
Kaiven Sintered NdFeb Magnet N grade ranges from N33 - N55. N52 magnet is stronger than an N35 magnet. The N rating is followed by a number, which represents the maximum energy product in Mega Gauss Oersteds (MGOe). This value is an indicator of the maximum magnetic energy density that the magnet can produce.

Other grading systems for NdFeB magnet:

M and H grade magnets ranges from 28 MGOe (Mega Gauss Oersteds) to 55 MGOe.
SH and UH grade magnets ranges from 28 MGOe (Mega Gauss Oersteds) to 52 MGOe.
EH grade magnets ranges from 28 MGOe (Mega Gauss Oersteds) to 45 MGOe.
TH grade magnets ranges from 28 MGOe (Mega Gauss Oersteds) to 42 MGOe.

NdFeB Magnet Shape that we manufacture

Disc magnets: These are circular magnets that are flat and thin, and are commonly used in applications where a compact size is required.
Block magnets: These are rectangular magnets that are often used in applications where a large surface area is needed, such as in magnetic clamping and holding applications.
Ring magnets: These are circular magnets with a hole in the center, and are often used in motors and sensors.
Arc magnets: These are curved magnets that can be used in motors and generators to produce a specific magnetic field.
Custom shapes: NdFeB magnets can also be manufactured in custom shapes to meet specific requirements, such as in magnetic assemblies.

NdFeB Magnet Application

Electric motors: NdFeB magnets are used in many types of electric motors, including brushless DC motors, stepper motors, and servo motors. They provide high torque and power density, which can increase the efficiency of the motor.
Magnetic sensors: NdFeB magnets are used in magnetic sensors for position detection and speed measurement. They provide a stable and strong magnetic field that can be used to detect the movement of objects.
Magnetic separators: NdFeB magnets are used in magnetic separators to separate magnetic materials from non-magnetic materials. They can be used in industries such as mining, recycling, and food processing.
Loudspeakers: NdFeB magnets are used in the speakers of many audio devices, including headphones, earbuds, and loudspeakers. They provide a strong magnetic field that can be used to create sound waves.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): NdFeB magnets are used in MRI machines to produce a strong and stable magnetic field. They help to create clear and accurate images of the human body for medical diagnosis.
Wind turbines: NdFeB magnets are used in the generators of wind turbines to convert wind energy into electrical energy. They provide high efficiency and low weight, which can help to increase the overall energy output of the turbine.
Magnetic levitation: NdFeB magnets are used in magnetic levitation systems for transportation and other applications. They provide a strong and stable magnetic field that can be used to levitate objects without any contact with a surface.
